History and genesis
The Hotel Marotte is divided into two buildings, one located at 3 rue Marotte, which opened at the end of 2012, and the second, located just opposite, at 60 rue des Jacobins, which opened in 2021.
On rue marotte
The old house: existantit has a magnificent classical decor. Traditional decoration, mouldings and the influence of the Belle Époque are omnipresent. An elegant and warm setting, which can be found in the reception rooms, as well as in the 8 rooms at your disposal.
The Cube : existanta contemporary extension, like a white cube in levitation, where 4 huge suites are nestled, the focus is on design and modernity. On the top floor, you will be surprised by a penthouse with a private terrace.
All our floors are accessible by lift, except the third floor, where the Chalet and the Superior room are located.
On rue des jacobins
The extension : The building dates from 1854 and originally housed the Banque de France, then the tax office. This is why our restaurant, the “Galerie des Recettes”, has its name engraved in the stone at the entrance. It is a play on words as recettes means both recipie and tax in french ! We have taken care to preserve the soul of the building by keeping the mouldings, marble fireplaces and other stoves in the hotel rooms.

All our floors are accessible by lift.
The Hotel Marotte is a human-sized establishment, whose owners provide in person the monitoring and management on a daily basis. Of course, they are committed to satisfying their customers and invest themselves to achieve this.

she wants the key words of the Hotel Marotte to be cocooning, listen, welcome and know how to receive. She holds a Master’s degree in International Trade and has been an export manager for 15 years. Having lived abroad for several years, she speaks fluent English and German. With great empathy for others, but demanding, she insists that her entire team applies the same values of listening and service. She is a local, very attached to her roots and always tries to be the best possible ambassador.

holder of a scientific doctorate, visionary businessman, real builder, he designed the Hotel Marotte entirely. He has grown up in the luxury hotel industry (Chabichou in Courchevel) where he has learned demands. The pursuit of excellence is his leitmotiv. He makes every effort to make his establishment a place of reference and exception on Amiens. He is convinced of the potential of his adopted city and does not intend to stop there!

Spa Manager
Rocked in the hotel world from a very young age, she observed her father in the creation of her company. Accompanying him in his project to extend the Hotel Marotte in Amiens seemed obvious to her. Holder of a Marketing Techniques degree and a Spa Manager training, she has acquired the tools to manage her team and propose a constantly evolving offer. Also attached to her region, she wished to transpose the Amiens heritage into the universe of well-being. You will discover at the Spa Marotte a pause of serenity in a historic place, open to all.
